Seven Deadly Zins
The Zinfandel grape has an extensive history in California, and especially in Paso Robles. This year boasts the 20th annual Paso Robles Zin Fest, and to honor this classic event First Crush is putting a spin on our Paso Wine 101 seminar to offer 7 Deadly Zins. This offshoot will cover the history of the Zinfandel grape, its Paso Robles heritage and terroir, and an educational tasting of 7 Paso Robles Zins that exhibit the diverse styles of this elusive varietal produced in the wine region that boasts some of the best Zinfandel wines in the world.
During the course you’ll learn how to taste and evaluate wines, along with an informative cheese pairing, focusing on this historical varietal. Your taste buds will enjoy seven different Paso Robles Zinfandels including old-vine, award-winning and new release estate wines. We searched high and low for the best Zinfandels in Paso Robles, and we are happy to include wines from the old-vine Adelaida 2008 Michael’s Vineyard, award-winning Croad 2008 Pure and the debut of the 2009 Oso Libre Primativo just to name a few. Other featured wineries include Tobin James, Rotta, Ranchita Canyon and Silver Horse. So spice up your Zin Fest weekend and come learn about what makes the connection between Zinfandel and the Central Coast so special.
$40/pp or $30/pp for club members, reservations recommended. Please visit our website for details, or to register.
