Heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases are the leading causes of death in women, claiming the lives of 430,000 women every year. More women die of cardiovascular diseases than the next four causes of death combined, including all forms of cancer. Go Red For Women raises awareness of heart disease in women and empowers them to take charge of their health. Go Red For Women is sponsored nationally by Macy’s and Merck.
