Los Osos, CA – Friends of Holly Navolt will be hosting a hike to help raise funds for her much needed double lung transplant surgery. A 5k walk/run through the beautiful Huasna countryside will take place Saturday May 22, 2010. Participants will gather at Tar Springs Ranch 7255 Huasna Rd in Arroyo Grande where registration is to begin at 8:00am followed by the hike kick off at 9:00am.
Community participants and sponsors are needed. Early registrations are being accepted online at www.cotaforhollyn.com costing $40 for each hiker/runner. Sponsors who donate $500 or more will have their name or logo on a banner at the event, in addition to being offered a table to promote their company at the event. After the race there will be a BBQ, bounce house, petting zoo, live music, and lots of prizes!

Holly Navolt is a local teen suffering from degenerating lung disease (cystic fibrosis). Friends and family of Holly are hoping to raise enough money to cover a much needed double lung transplant surgery. Holly hopes to get a new lung within the next three months. A donations account for Holly has been set up through the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) which is a non-profit foundation geared toward helping kids in need, like Holly.
