Los Osos, CA – Friends of Holly Navolt will be hosting a hike to help raise funds for her much needed double lung transplant surgery. A 5k walk/run through the beautiful Huasna countryside will take place Saturday May 22, 2010. Participants will gather at Tar Springs Ranch 7255 Huasna Rd in Arroyo Grande where registration is to begin at 8:00am followed by the hike kick off at 9:00am.

On Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, the Bon Temps Creole Cafe in San Luis Obispo will be doing it's part in helping the relief effort of disaster unfolding in Haiti. It will be donating 20% of the proceeds of the business it recieves, at breakfast, lunch and dinner for the entire day.

Sunset Ridge Golf Center will be hosting our annual Papa Joe's New Year's Day Red-Eye Golf Tournament on 1/1/10. Since we recently lost our beloved Papa Joe, this yearly tournament will now be held in his memory. The tournament will start at 9:00am/Shotgun and will be a 2 Person Scramble/Skins. Immediately following the tournament all participating golfers will be served home-made chili and home-made black-eyed peas (Papa Joe's tradition) at our grill. If you haven't tried the food at Sunset Grill you are in for a treat! Come on out and start off your new year with a fun time at Sunset Ridge Golf Center.
